I rarely find myself with the passion to blog about myself so I am going to take this moment at 3:15 a.m and make the most of it.

It is my third year in the business now and while I haven’t got much to show for it I have learned a great deal and have gained a lot of experience from working with a small budget.

The biggest success to date is 107,000 visitors in one month and record amount in sales which won’t be revealed here. The goal for this year is 1,000,000 unique visitors to one single website in one month and to make a lot more money than last year.

Today I am starting a case study for making money with adsense. It is at the moment the one thing that is bringing me consistent money every month, while obviously I can’t share stats due to adsense terms and conditions, I can however share my success as I go along.

Why am I doing a case study for adsense? Two months ago I started a website in the medical niche which was competing with some difficult sites to outrank but the payout is a nice $9 – $15 a click. The past week my site is hitting page 1 for some of the search terms I wanted to rank for and it’s pushing the daily earnings up. Even after the whole Google panda and the whole sky is falling epidemic this site is moving up easier than I thought. (What’s everyone crying about!?)

I am going to continue to get this site ranked until it hits number one for it’s main keyword and then I will probably flip it. It made me think today though, if I can get semi-competitive keyword ranked within less than two months why not go all out on a keyword where the payout will make it worth it? This is exactly what I have decided to do.

I went onto spyfu and checked the top 100 keywords that are paying out the most money. The top keyword at the moment pays out $314.36 – $386.56. So if I got a website ranked to the first page of Google for this particular keyword, every time a visitor clicks on an ad I will get paid between $314.36 – $386.56 PER CLICK according to spyfu. Let’s do the math, if I got 3,000 people to my website in one month and only 1% clicked I could make $11,580. Hmmmmm…..Should I carry on ranking for the $15 a click keywords that might take a couple of months to rank for OR should I go after keywords that will take six months or longer to rank for BUT they will make me some real money?

I have never gone after a keyword that has immense competition and all the websites on page one have over 100,000 backlinks so this will be a good case study to show myself and other people what’s possible. The methods I am going to take on getting this site to the top is traditional linking methods, constant content every week, being active within social media and using web 2.0 .

I do have a few projects going on at the moment so I cannot let this take over everything BUT I am going to commit to this and hopefully over the next few months I will be showing off some nice payouts.

I just want to say to anyone that is reading this and is thinking to give it a try, these websites are here to provide QUALITY information that will help the user find what they are looking for. These are not made for adsense websites where the content is poorly written and the end user comes and goes in three seconds because your site is not relevant. We have to remember at the end of the day we want to create information that will HELP the people who are searching for information online. Also remember that content is king and that relevant GOOD content will keep you on top no matter what updates Google brings along.
